Effective September 4, 2026 · madrank.ai
Short version: madrank.ai ranks anonymous usage numbers. We never collect your identity, your content, or your conversations.
What we collect
- Usage aggregates — only if you opt in. With MADRank Node (or the DSH plugin) installed and ranking enabled, your device sends one daily report per completed UTC day: a random anonymous participant ID, the date, and per-model token counts with request counts. That is the entire payload.
- Local session files — read, never sent. The node reads your local AI session logs (Claude Code, Codex, OpenCode, Gemini CLI) purely to count tokens and model names. Those files never leave your device; today's usage is never transmitted either.
- Standard technical data. Like any website, our hosting providers process standard request data (such as IP addresses) in access logs to operate and secure the service.
- Messages you send us. If you email us, we keep the message so we can respond.
What we never collect
- Conversations, prompts, responses, files, tool calls, or API keys — the upload path carries no content, by design.
- Your name, email, or any account identifier. The participant ID is a random value stored by us only as a salted one-way hash.
- Today's usage. Only completed UTC days are ever sent; there is no real-time upload.
Cookies and tracking
No advertising, no analytics, no tracking pixels. No visitor cookies.
How data is used
Aggregates are used to compute the public rankings and to detect and flag abuse. Nothing else. We do not sell personal data.
What is public
The board shows masked participant IDs (such as ••XXXX) and aggregate numbers. Nothing that identifies you is published. Do not enable ranking if you do not want your anonymous counts to appear on a public board.
Deletion
You can delete all synced data at any time from the machine that synced it: run npx @qomob/madrank-node delete (add --yes in non-interactive shells). The CLI and the DSH plugin share the same anonymous installation id, so this one command removes the uploaded daily aggregates of both. You can also email contact@madrank.ai. Deletion removes the data from our side; your local history stays on your device. Leaving the ranking (Settings → MADRank, or the card's leave button) stops all future uploads but does not delete what was already submitted — use the command above for that.
Retention
Aggregates are kept only as long as the service needs them for ranking and abuse detection. Data outside the rolling 7-day ranking window is no longer ranked or displayed.
Your rights
Where applicable law gives you rights to access, correct, delete, or export your data, email us and we will honor them. You may also withdraw consent at any time by leaving the ranking in MADRank (or the card's leave button) — after that, nothing further is sent.
Children
The service is for adults. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
Changes
We may update this policy when the service changes. The date at the top is the current version. Material changes will be announced on the site.
